Happy Halloweenie!

Ok so I'm not going to talk about the wedding just yet. I just wanted to stop in and share some of my photos from last year.
This year I'm dressed as a disgruntled employee who's only had 6 hours of sleep.  Yeah, I'm pretty effin scary today.  Last year was a different story.  My birthday is October 18th so we decided to throw a Mad Scientist Themed Party and the next day Snaggletooth was having her Halloween Themed Birthday Party. I also attended a Halloween Party in Fort McMurray.  Basically last year I had loads of costuming changing shenanigans. This year...well this year is sucky due to the work schedule so I'm just going to live in the past for the moment.

Our Concoction Table

Deadly Pudding Shooters
I didn't get many shots of the house but we had all sorts of vases filled with old flowers in which we put water & the ink from high lighters.  We put black lights all over so the vases glowed wickedly and dropped dry ice in.
This is our part time Roomie.  He's 6'7 about 350lbs.
My little brother who thought he was going to get away with not dressing up.
Class.

Oh did I mention that we had a "Passion Party," as well?  For those who are not familiar it's basically like a Tupperware Party but with Dildos.  Fukherware.
The best part was the look on my brother's face and my young friend, Bud, as my girlfriend started whipping out Vibrators.  I don't think I've seen so many shades of red. I do my best to ruin the youth.
Cookies n' Dildos...why not?

I think this was the best Birthday Party I've ever had. Friends from different spots in Alberta came down for the party.  It was really touching that so many drove out of their way for the event.  Everything went really well other than someone chundering all over the living room & a guest peeing in his suitcase & brand new carpet.  But hey....you know you've had a good party when you have to clean the carpets the next day!!

Then the next night at Snaggletooth's Birthday Party.....

We were pretty bagged after our party & spending our hangover cleaning the carpets so we took it fairly easy this evening.

The next weekend I attended a Halloween Party in Fort McMurray.
The tough part about working away from home is missing out on all the fun events and getting to hand out candy to all the freaking adorable kidlets.  Instead this guy:
That guy gets to hand out candy and scare the crap out of the kids.
He won't be alone, he shall have an assistant that better stay out of the damn chocolate.

Happy Halloween Everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh Crap, I Forgot I had a Blog!

So....um...Hi!

Why haven't I even looked at my blog since July 2011?  Well life just got busy, work got busy, and I'm just a terrible procrastinator. Actually I'm not terrible at procrastinating, I'm excellent at it.
What has happened in the last couple of years?

  •  I done got myself hitched right on top of a boat July 6th.  So "Manfriend," is now my Husband I still have a hard time referring to him as that so I generally use the term "Hubby." (Baby Steps.)
  • The Kidlet is now one of those teenager creatures.  Colouring her hair wildly and listening to angry music. Doesn't remind me of anyone at all..... All I'm gonna say is thank fuck I didn't have access to social media at her age. However, I do have a small suitcase FULL of journals, starting from Grade 6. I'm not brave enough to take a stroll down that lane just yet.

  •  We planted 10 trees so now we have the most in our Suburban Prairie Hood. Best part about it is that we're Asshole Neighbours who planted trees on the other side of the fence so that we don't end up with leaves in our yard. FUCK RAKES! In all honesty, this was not our intention. Trees were on sale and this was the best location. We probably should've put a bit more forethought into but we're going to sell the house in 4 years so it'll be someone else being the Asshole.

  •  My dog is still alive even after eating many things like chocolate & granola bars that contains raisins. After the 8lb dog devoured 5 granola bars we had to bring her to the vet to induce vomiting. Raisins/Grapes can cause renal failure in dogs and she ate a crap ton. Go big AND Go Home with a large Vet bill!

Looking pretty good for 14 years old.

  •  I'm still a Non-Smoker & the Hubby is on Champix so he'll no longer have cigar breath.  YAY! Seriously, I am so happy he's trying to kick the habit again.

Other than those key points, we just work a hell of a lot.  We've made time for some fun adventures here and there but the Wedding was the big one. This time I promise to come back and post again soon, starting with the wedding.

I'm a Bad Blogger ...In the Summer

Quick post just to let you know I'm not dead or floundering in a ditch somewhere.  What's been going on?  Black Keys & Cage the Elephant Concert, went to Lake Kooncanusa in BC, Went to Work, Slammed at work, dealing with complete utter bullshit at work, having some good laughs at work, litter sister visiting from Vancouver Island, Stampede (read: Liver Killer), Katy Perry Concert, Back to Work now and heading to Penticton on the 28th.

So that kind of sums it up.  I will be regularly posting once the Alberta Weather turns to the dark side of evil snow.

Oh some pictures I will leave you with is of what we did to my officemate (Gingermate) desk when he decided to take holidays.
Hope you're all having a fantastic summer!!

Lonely for 3 More Days

This is the first shift I've had to work without Manfriend here.  He started a new job on Monday working in Calgary for the summer.  Eventually he'll be up working in the Oilsands once the project has mobilized but that won't be for a few months yet.
Oh he's adjusted well.  It's tough going to the "peelers," (For those who don't know the lingo I'm talking about exotic dancers) for lunch on a Friday, I'm sure.
Me on the other hand...well it's lonely.  Life up here is so fucking mundane when you stay in camp.  It was easier when I was alone but we were renting in Fort Mac since I could actually go out and have a social life.
The upside at being bored & lonely at camp is that I'm getting my much needed exercise.  I've definitely reached my maxed out weight and I am not comfortable with that. It's a combo of quitting smoking, camp life, and Manfriend.  (Oh yeah that's right..I'm blaming you baby.)
So basically I exhaust myself and fall asleep just after 9pm.   Pretty exciting hey? Most definitely not.  So I try to think of things I have to look forward to.

1.  "True Blood," is back this sunday!  You know what I love about that show is things like this:

Of course he's much better with his shirt off and "True Blood," most graciously complies.  There's just so much damn dirty sexy time in that show!

2. The Black Keys concert on the 28th with Snaggletooth.  Oh know we be enjoying the hell outta that.

3. Snaggletooth and I taking Kidlet to BC for some camping at Lake Kooncanusa to celebrate Canada Day.  Naturally, I have purchased a large box of fireworks.  I like things that go boom.

4. CaveDweller purchased a Condo and is moving at the end of July.  We will have our basement!!! Our definitions of cleanliness are completely opposite from eachother.  I don't want to slag future-brother-in-law but he's going to be much happier on his own and we will be cleaner happier as well. *Happy Dance*  I'll miss the kitty though (just not her litter all over the basement floor).

5. My little sister may be coming out for a visit and it's been a couple of years since I seen her last.  She's about to turn 17.  Yeah, 16 years age difference.  Bitch be making me feel old and saggy now. <3

6.  Apparently I got a raise....and no one told me. (I'm afraid to mention it to anyone in case they're all...Whoopise our mistake! You owe us money now. I wouldn't be surprised.)  Bigger pay cheques are always something to look forward to.

7. The lack of Winter.

8.

*Quiver*
9.  Fitting into that closet full of clothing that stares at me with longing every time I go home.  I WILL fit into those clothes again. Determination!

10. Wedding Plans!  Ok, so I'm not really looking forward to that because the whole planning part isn't my forte and it stresses me out just thinking about it. I even suggested doing a small ceremony in our yard and Manfriends wasn't having any of that. It was worth a shot.

11.  3 more get-ups till I'm home and get lots of snuggles and snogging!

(This was filmed the year I was born!)
